Dr. Monique actively engages with community leaders and advocates to promote public health awareness, focusing on illnesses, preventive care, and social-behavioral epidemiology. She collaborates with communities through group meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences to address issues that affect both individual and community well-being. Her work emphasizes topics such as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), youth rehabilitation from violence, advocacy for aged-out foster youth, women’s health, workplace wellness, mental hygiene, and more. She believes that awareness is the first step, change follows, and resolution is the ultimate goal.
She also conducts developmental seminars, conferences, and webinars for a wide range of audiences including executives, educators, directors, managers, and community leaders. These sessions address pressing concerns such as chronic diseases, suicide ideation, sex trafficking, prostitution, bullying, transitional challenges, and various forms of abuse. Dr. Mo is particularly focused on increasing individual awareness around critical health topics such as diabetes, suicide ideation, depression, and identifying signs of IPV—helping people better understand and manage these issues.
As a Doctor of Public Health, she speaks at corporate events, community organizations, colleges, and universities. Her lectures explore social determinants of health and behavioral risk factors that contribute to public health challenges.
Her work highlights the importance of social and behavioral health—key components of mental well-being—including issues such as IPV, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and behavioral challenges in school settings.
Her engagements includes a focus on preventive health measures, offering practical results and solutions to health issues. As our communities continue to change, disease factors continue to grow and social-behaviors remain at the forefront of health epidemiology, Dr. Monique Aguirre, continues to research, educate and support public health.
